Stand with Jemele Hill

Stand with Jemele Hill

We should probably expect a Trump tweet about ESPN's failing ratings in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...

ESPN's just suspended anchor Jemele Hill for using her freedom of speech to again call out racism.

Which apparently violates ESPN's "social media guidelines".

She was responding to Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' threat to bench any player who "disrespects the flag".  Jones' warning followed VP Mike Pence's staged walkout (at significant taxpayer expense) of this weekend's Indianapolis Colts game.

How to stand with Jemele Hill

First, a couple of reminders as all this swirls:

1) Football players, inspired by Colin Kaepernick, have taken a knee to protest police brutality, not the American flag or the national anthem.

2) Only 15% of Puerto Rico has electricity.  But Trump doesn't tweet about that.

Tell ESPN you'll suspend them if they continue to attack Jemele Hill and her freedom of expression.  You can reach ESPN at 888.549.3776 or by tweeting @espn.

Press the NFL to respond to Jerry Jones' threat against his players.  You can reach the NFL via their contact form or by tweeting @nfl and @nflcommish.
