Cold As Ice

Did he really mean it?

Trump has suggested he would spare DACA protections (for DREAMers, people who were brought to the US as children without documentation) from his otherwise-draconian immigration enforcement.

But DREAMers keep getting rounded up by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

A few weeks ago, 23 year old Daniel Ramirez Medina was arrested when ICE came to his house to arrest someone else. He has been in detention ever since.

Yesterday, 22 year old Daniela (Dany) Vargas was arrested by ICE, soon after speaking out against the recent detention of her father and brother. Her friend says ICE agents told her "you know who we are and you know why we're here."
