One Less Brick in the Wall

One Less Brick in the Wall

US Customs and Border Protection has put out guidelines for contractors to help build the big, bad wall (or fence).

The main criteria: "physically imposing."

That should be totally doable with all those billions of dollars being cut from everywhere else!

But some aren't having it, including the California state legislature and cities like Oakland.

Some Texans who could lose their homes through eminent domain are fighting back against the wall. (*Thanks Kandace Vallejo for the tip!)

Who knows, maybe even Banksy will make his mark on the issue.

How to help make it harder for companies to build Trump's wall

Tweet your appreciation to Oakland City Councilmember Abel Guillén and California State Assemblymembers Phil TingLorena Gonzalez Fletcher, and Eduardo Garcia for their leadership on the issue.

Urge your mayor, city council, and state pension system not to invest in companies building the wall.

Get in touch and share your thoughts with some of the companies bidding to build the wall. Northern California list here, a longer national list here, and full list here.

*We'll also keep you updated on what you can do to help prevent eminent domain land grabs for the purpose of building the wall.
