If you're like us, your digital life is one big, fast news feed. Some of this news is messed up. How to Help works in the news cycle to connect you with ways to do something about the day's big stories.

Sesame Street For The Win

Sesame Street For The Win

A previously-digital character with autism named Julia is now joining the full-time Muppet cast on Sesame Street.

Her puppeteer, Stacey Gordon, has a child with autism.

Sesame Street has long been a kind, welcoming, compassionate place.

It feels different from our country at the moment, and maybe that's why this news really resonates with us.

It also comes at a time that the Trump Administration has proposed to cut all federal funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

How to help make sure kids everywhere can see Julia

Tweet a note of appreciation to Sesame Street and the nonprofit Sesame Workshop production company.

Update your Facebook profile picture with an "I Love PBS" frame.

See the Oscar-nominated documentary Life, Animated, a coming of age story about growing up with autism.

Sign a petition to save the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. CPB helps fund 1400 local public radio and TV stations, many in rural areas, so they can stay on the air and provide content like Sesame Street.
