How to Help

If you're like us, your digital life is one big, fast news feed. Some of this news is messed up. How to Help works in the news cycle to connect you with ways to do something about the day's big stories.

And you thought all the white nationalists went to work at the White House. Turns out there's still one in Congress!

Rep. Steve King (IA) tweeted on Sunday: "[Dutch politician Geert] Wilders understands that culture and demographics are our destiny. We can't restore our civilization with somebody else's babies."

Later, he said on CNN:  "I'd like to see an America that's just so homogeneous that we look a lot the same."

Even if it's nothing new coming from him, Rep. King keeps finding ways to make us throw up in our mouth a little bit more.

Remember when he said this about undocumented immigrants? "For every one who’s a valedictorian, there’s another 100 out there who weigh 130 pounds - and they’ve got calves the size of cantaloupes because they’ve been hauling 75 pounds of mari-juana across the desert."

How to help keep this out of the highest levels of government

Join the awesome response from Rep. Ted Lieu (CA) by tweeting pictures of your own "babies" at @SteveKingIA.

Call House Speaker Paul Ryan's office at 202.225.3031 and urge him to censure Rep. King and strip him of his committee chairmanship and vice-chairmanship.

Stay tuned for a primary challenge to Rep. King, as urged yesterday by the Des Moines Register in response to this most recent vitriol.
