How to Help Make Sure Robert Mueller Doesn't Get Fired

On Monday, Special Counsel Robert Mueller charged former Trump campaign officials Paul Manafort and Rick Gates with money laundering and other crimes.
Mr. Mueller gave @readDonaldTrump just enough time to tweet a response:
Then the Special Counsel unsealed documents in an additional case against George Papadopoulos, the most famous person you had to Google this week, who apparently got busted for lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russia and has since been singing to investigators.
So now we have emails like this one from Manafort to other Trump campaign officials: “We need someone to communicate that D.T. is not doing these trips. It should be someone low level in the campaign so as not to send any signal.”
How to help protect the Special Counsel's investigation
Here are some things you can do if you're as worried as we are that Robert Mueller could join James Comey and Sally Yates and Preet Bharara on the unemployment line:
Urge your Senator and your House representative (you can reach both via the US Capitol switchboard at 202.224.3121) to make sure Mueller isn't fired. There are two Senate bills (S. 1735 and S. 1741) and one House bill (H.R. 3771). Indivisible has a great phone script.
Check out the aptly-named www.trumpisnotabovethelaw.org, a website hosted by groups including Public Citizen, Common Cause, Indivisible, and MoveOn. This is where you'll want to go for rapid response news just in case Trump does fire Mueller. There are already hundreds of emergency events planned for that possibility, including where you live.
