How to Help Bring the #MeToo Movement Home
Hey fellas:
You can still help stop men you know - wherever you live, work, or go to school - from acting like these guys.
How to help bring the #MeToo movement home
The following resources are for men who want to end sexual harassment and assault wherever they live:
Explore and support ReThink's work with young men and boys to break down the cultural norms that underpin sexual violence.
Join Rethink Masculinity, a two-month men's consciousness-building group hosted by Collective Action for Safe Spaces, ReThink, and the DC Rape Crisis Center. (*The current group has already closed, but stay tuned for future opportunities.)
Check out Lean In's resources for men who are committed to supporting gender equity and stopping gender bias in the workplace.
Also: connect with and donate to organizations working to stop sexual harassment and assault like the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN, which also runs the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline), the National Alliance to End Sexual Violence, the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, End Rape on Campus, ReThink, Collective Action for Safe Spaces, the Asian Pacific Institute on Gender-Based Violence, and Hollaback. You can find a much longer list here.
