Fearless

State Street Global Advisors made one of International Women's Day's most powerful statements.

It installed the already-iconic bronze "Fearless Girl" statue facing down Wall Street's "Charging Bull".

But it turns out the statue was only permitted for a week.

There's good precedent for making it permanent.

"Charging Bull" itself was an artist's illegal installation until New Yorkers pressed the city to keep it!

Tweet at @NYCMayorsOffice urging the city to keep the statue.

While you're at it, tweet a shout-out to State Street Global Advisors, which backed up the statue's symbolism with substance.

SSGA is not perfect. But last year it launched its "Gender Diversity Index" fund, and this week SSGA called on the 3500 companies it invests in to increase women's representation on their boards of directors. It even threatened to use its "proxy voting power" if it doesn't see change.
