Strike!

Tomorrow, March 8, women around the world are striking for equity and justice.

Just how big will tomorrow's strike be?

Here's one indication. Two school districts, in VA and NC, are shutting down. In the Alexandria, VA public school district alone, more than 300 women have asked for the day off.

How to join the women's strike

First, 3 things:
1. Wear red in solidarity
2. Do not engage in paid or unpaid work
3. Avoid spending money (but if you do, support women- and minority-owned businesses) (*Thanks Karen Schwartzman for the tip!)

Send a good word via tweet to Alexandria Public Schools and Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools leadership for their decision to close on International Women's Day.

Men, do these things!  Don't do this.
