There's no way to make light of the news out of Syria.
The latest: Amnesty International has just published a report finding as many as 13,000 people, mostly civilians, have been killed at Saydnaya Prison over the past 5 years.
"These practices," Amnesty says, "which amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity, are authorized at the highest levels of the Syrian government."
How to help shine a light on Syrian prison conditions
Quick way: Read and share the Amnesty International report.
Longer way: Write an email with your concern to email@example.com, the (believe it or not) official email address of Syria's Permanent Representative to the UN, Bashar Ja’afari.
