Arkansas is planning to execute 8 death row inmates in just 4 days between April 17 and April 27.

The last time the state put someone to death was more than 11 years ago.

Why the hurry now? Arkansas leadership is afraid its supply of the lethal injection drug Midazolam (yes, the one behind several botched executions in past years) will soon expire.
