How to Help

War of Hopefully Only Words

After our dear leader called North Korea's dear leader "Rocket Man" and threatened to "totally destroy North Korea", Kim Jong-un replied with the week's most Googled insult, "dotard."

We're with @NickSpencer, who tweeted months ago:  "Yeah man, international diplomacy is weird. You should read up on it before you get us all killed with your f***ing Twitter account."

Not sure whether to laugh, cry, or run for cover.  But there are some things we can do in the meantime.

How to help stop a war before it starts

Call on the White House (202.456.1111) and US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley (@nikkihaley) to stop the saber-rattling and pursue diplomacy and negotiations.

Sign Win Without War's petition to Congress to pass an emergency bill that would require congressional authorization before Trump starts a nuclear war.

Sign Code Pink's petition calling for negotiation, and stay tuned for their upcoming actions.

Connect with a soon-to-be-revitalized anti-war movement, including groups like Code PinkWin Without WarVeterans for Peace, and Peace Action.

Update:  Connect also with the awesome No Red Button campaign (@BeyondtheBomb), who just projected "Trump is a Bomb Threat" on the front of the Trump International Hotel.
